1976 Yamaha YZ

Offered for sale is an extremely rare and desirable 1976.5 Yamaha YZ 125X. Second production run in 1976.
This was the fastest bike in  its class in 1976.
It featured an all new , very advanced suspension, front and rear. This bike has the very desirable “ tack and speedo “ forks. That was the nick name for these, as the bike does not actually have a speedo, or a tack.
This was the same bike that helped Bob Hannah win the AMA 125cc National Championship.
This is an extremely original bike, and is in very good condition.
It also sports a very, very rare porcupine head, that is in very good , undamaged shape.
The bike would need a freshening to vintage race.
This rare piece lived its life in California,in a private collection for many many years, and runs and shifts well.
Engine and frame numbers match  !
