Item Description:
This auction is for an old used altimeter. I have no idea if this works so it is being sold as not working and for parts or possible repair. The tag on the back is marked Altimeter Setting Ind, Made for Department of Commerce Civil Aeronautics Administration, Type 1130-019, Order No CA-50-4775, Kollsman Instrument Division Square D Company, Elmhurst New York.
The dial of the instrument is marked Civil Aeronautics Administration, Range -100 to +3300 Feet. It looks to have numbers going around the outer edge of the white part of the piece but they are very faded (see pics 5 & 6). The face of the piece measures 8" wide all the way to the outer edges. It has a tag on the part with the wires hanging from it and it is marked "Light Adapter Type No 1498". This altimeter shows wear and has some scratches and dings.
