    Description

    W H Grindley GIRONDE FLOW BLUE Bread & Butter Plates ~ Pair
    Offering a gorgeous pair (2) of flow blue bread & butter plates by W H Grindley in the Gironde pattern.
    These flow blue plates have fourteen sides that are slightly indented with fleur-de-lis and scroll embossing placed around the edge with gold daubs over the edge.
    There are sprays of flowers spaced at random around the border and a small flower rests off to the side of the well.
    Backs are stamped with the WH Grindley printed mark incorporating a globe and steamer boat c.1891-1914. This mark often appears on Flow Blue ware and is accompanied by the initials FB.
    Backs also has the impressed number 50
    Each measure 5 ¾” in diameter
    In very good antique condition free of chips, cracks or repairs:  please note there is some scratching and crazing commensurate with age and use, please see all photos.
